The Wayward Inn

We have turned on a CDN for The Wayward Inn, what this means is that instead of getting most images and things from our server(which is in one location and may not be close to you) things like banners or images/avatar thumb nails and other things we want are now distributed over a CDN(which is essentially a network of servers set up all over only limited by the hosting provider's reach which sometimes tend to be most countries as they are big and provide service everywhere.) and what this does is that data from our site will be ready to load from any server near you instead of our main server located in the united states.

Rampancy, an Introduction.
Roughly two and a half thousand years ago, humanity had taken the planet Earth and given it the good old 'nuclear war' treatment. The cause of this was lost to time, and eventually became irrelevant. What evolved from that was a dark age of sorts, and after that the calendar began again. It's been about four hundred years since the restart of the calendar, putting us at the year 2431. The world's a truly different place now, with normalcy and intricacies of the eons past are now lost and curious trinkets. The worlds possess a unifying government, but the approach it's taken to dealing with those under its command have caused a high demand for, well, you, and all your money.

The Promethean Era, The End and Beginning.
Back before the calendar reset, there was that lovely dark age that spawned from the War. This was an era of all sorts of lore and questionable fantasy, where a cryogenics corporation with an overly-planning CEO woke up his employees in such a manner that society would eventually be rebuilt. This was where the evolution of psionics occured, and the ideals that make up today's society took place. Due to large opposition, we're putting this on hold while we rework it. Here's the plan:

Everyone can post by default, but the storyteller will (hopefully) have the ability to "ban" users so that they can't post in that storyteller's forum.

As some of you have noticed you can no longer post in a RP even if you were formerly participating in it. This is because storytellers now have to approve or deny you. If you have not been approved you will see a blue button that says "Join This RP" in the forum of that game or at the top of the site or in your profile where you can request access. Once the request is sent the storyteller will get notification in the top left where it says "Moderation Queue" and they must approve or reject your request.

"But Wizard, how will people post characters or ask questions in regards to my RP if they can't post before I approve them" asked mysterious storyteller A. Well Mysterious Storyteller A, then it's your job to post a sticky in your game with a link to the THREAD in opening night where they can ask and post questions and any thing else they need before you give them access to post their character and participate in your RP.

Opening Night will be reworked and have more organization for discussion threads and other information users ask in regards to your game.

Users are encouraged to post in a game's opening night thread before even requesting access to the game so the storyteller does not wonder who you are.

Like wise, if you are a storyteller and see the need to remove a roleplayer from your game, then please head on over to "Join Roleplays" at the top of the site in gold and just revolk their access.
